Kathy Ellem
Award Winning Artist
Kathy first began painting in 2003 whilst living on a large cattle property in South West Queensland. She now lives in North East Victoria with a gallery in Beechworth and a list of national and international awards to her name.
Kathy has featured in Art Of The West Magazine, Australian Artist Magazine and RM Williams Outback Magazine. Her notible awards include first place in the 2017 National Equine Art Prize, many placings in the Woman Artist of the West (Best in show, first place, Christine Drewyer Award of Distinction, Peoples Choice Award), John Villiers Outback Art Prize, Bright Autumn Art Show Best in Show, Currabubulla red cross art show Grand Champion, the list goes on and on!
Kathy occasionally joins us in camp to paint. And she makes amazing fresh bread! Our Western Plains and Teamsters Treks are some of her favourites.
